WHY ART THERAPY?

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that blends talk therapy with the power of creative expression. Through art-making, metaphor, and storytelling, you are supported to discover new ways of understanding yourself and your experiences—building a greater sense of self-agency and compassion along the way.

In session, the act of creating becomes a way to synthesize experience, trauma, and emotion into something transformative. You don’t need to be an artist or have any prior art experience—everyone is welcome, and there is no “wrong” way to make art. Sometimes, the art itself can unlock expressive needs we didn’t know we had, offering a voice to parts of ourselves that have long been waiting to speak.
